Apply for Me

Hello everybody! My name is Leah! I am 3-4 years old and have spent all of those years behind the closed doors of a barn and called my crate my home. This is where I ate, went potty, and spent my days. I very quickly became very dirty. I hardly ever saw the sun and felt its warmth. Instead, I was used as a full time mommy. I have had more litters than my paws can count. I never got to play with the other dogs or even learned just how to be a dog or a part of a family. My old owners recently got caught and I was lucky enough to be rescued!

The people who rescued me drove all the way from South Dakota to Colorado so I could join Colorado Pug Rescue. I find myself following my foster brother and sisters around and learning from them what to do, but I love being around them the most!

I am now living with my foster mom. I am learning how to play for the first time! The feeling of grass, tile, and wood under my feet feels very weird to me; I’ve never touched any of those before! My foster mom is going to work very hard with potty training and socializing me with people. People scare me a whole lot! I’m learning how to trust, though, and am receiving a lot of cuddle time.

If you have a big heart and have a little bit of time to love on me, then I will be your best dog! Please put “Leah” on your application. I can’t wait to meet you!
